Amazon brought me boxes today. I’m just waiting on the CPU cooler to show up tomorrow to see if I end up with a functioning computer out of this project.

Are you going to mount the radiator at the top or at the front?

I'm going to mount it at the front.

I think that’s the better choice. Certainly from a noise standpoint, and I don’t think it would be much, if any, worse from a cooling perspective.

Hey there! The RX580 worked out really well. It breathed new life into my PC. Played doom last weekend at high rez with max settings and didn’t break a sweat. A wesome!

Awesome!  I'm glad to hear it.

Nicely done!

It kills me to be one part away from finishing. I actually went to Fry’s just to pick up my last piece when Newegg delayed my ram. I just couldn’t wait.

Im regretting the rgb lighting now that I have it in a dedicated home theater.  But 4k gaming on a 120" is worth having a miniature sun sitting in the corner.

This looks really good. It’s nice to see this kind of look taking some ground back from some of the more over the top stuff that’s been sold as “gaming” for years.

That is inline with what I have read about radiator placement (saying that in the context of my PC still feels bit weird). The general takeaway I got for this kind of water cooled CPU/air cooled GPU setup like I’m doing is that a front radiator intake (with a couple of fans up top exhausting) gives the best combination of cooling. Supposedly it usually results in great CPU cooling with only a minimal impact on GPU cooling in such a setup, while also having lots of airflow going over the vrm and memory. To my mind, it makes sense. By far, the majority of watts being consumed in the case are from the GPU. My idea is big fans generally spinning slowly for reasonable airflow without lots of noise.

Just need to program those colors to change for bias lighting!

That's not a terrible idea!  I can always turn the LEDs off in software while keeping them spinning.  But I like your idea better.
